Default Enabling password entry in clear text on your own PC

Password entry is generally protected. Only dots or stars can be seen instead of a clear text. This is safe, but it's kind of annoying if you happen to be the only one using the PC at home and if you keep making errors while typing, thereby having to re-type the passwords often.

    Default

It is possible to view passwords as clear text when typing them.

To install it, click the 'Add to' Firefox' link. Alternatively, you can also download the XPI file and open it from the browser. Accept the required permission for software installation by clicking 'Install now'. 'Restart Firefox' once you have finished installing. The extension starts functioning without any more settings and becomes active when a password input field comes into focus. You can quickly hide the display by clicking at another place on the website.
    Note:
The display in the input field functions only if the website.is fully loaded, since the add-on cannot make any changes if it is not. Also, remember to deactivate the extension if anyone else is using your computer even temporarily.
