Alternatively; you can also make use of FinePrint-an extremely easy to use software with a pretty straight forward interface. You can also save forms, which can be later used for printing. The only drawback is that the software is not free and comes at a steep price. That said, the software is free to use without a time limit but prints a small banner at the bottom of each page.
Before we start you will need to download the FinePrint software . During installation, the application installs its own set of drivers to be able to handle documents when a print command is given. To make sure that FinePrint handles all the documents by default, choose "FinePrint" as your default printer.
STEP 1:
After installation, choose the document required for printing. If the document is a Word file, follow the method described prior to this (Step 1). Once the layout is set, click on "Print" and select properties. Here. you will need to change the paper size to A4 and change the orientation to "Landscape". Unlike other printers where you cannot save printer ink you can save printer ink here by adjusting the overall image quality from the Graphics menu. Once everything is set, click on "OK". You should now be on the "FinePrint" properties menu.
STEP 2:
Click on the printer placed towards the top left and select advanced. If your printer does not support automatic duplex you will need to choose "Manual duplex".
Note:
You will also need to check "Paper must be rotated 180 degrees". Now, click on printer properties and choose the "Landscape" option from it. Also make sure that the paper size is set to "A4". Confirm the changes made by clicking on "OK".
STEP 3:
Choose the layout type as "lup" and unless you want your booklet to have watermarks, you should uncheck the "Stamp set" menu. Set borders to smart, margins to medium, select "Left" for binding and set Gutters to "0.8" inches. You can also choose to remove the graphics as well as take black and white prints if you don't consider them to be very important. To be able to add watermarks you can switch to "Stamps" and choose anyone of the given stamps. You can also click on "New" to be able to add your own set of stamps. You must remember that if you want to apply the Watermark only to the first sheet of the booklet, you will need to select "First page only" under the "Apply stamp set to" option.
Now give the print command and you should be successfully on your way to creating your very first booklet. You must remember that for printing manually, follow the "Manual printing instructions" explained in Step 2 using Word.
