LAUNCH YOUR WEB BROWSER click the link to download the latest executable (.exe) version of the installation file, which was 2.2 at the time of writing. Save the file to the Windows Desktop, then double-click it to begin the installation. We recommend clicking to remove the tick from the' Run UDPixel at windows startup' box because if it works, there's no reason to have it launch automatically every time Windows starts.
THIS IS THE ONLY screen of Undead Pixel. Use the buttons on the left-hand side to have your display show a screen filled with one colour, which helps identify dead pixels. For example"click Red and the screen will become red. Look for any pixels that aren't red; these may be dead or stuck on a different colour. Try all the colour buttons or click the Run cycle button to run through them automatically. Dead pixels should be black, while stuck pixels will be any other colour.
WHAT A DEAD OR stuck pixel identified, remember its location and use the 'Flash size' dropdown menu to pick a size of 5x5 pixels (the IxI option will cause just one pixel to flash, but it will be very hard to see and manoeuvre). Now click the Start button and you'll notice that a tiny (5x5-pixel) square of the screen will start rapidly flashing through lots of different colours. Now use the mouse pointer to drag and drop this flashing square onto the first dead or stuck pixel. Leave it there for at least an hour before moving it to see if the affected pixel has been rescued. Repeat as necessary, although remember there is no promise that it will succeed.
