Every so often somebody asks if Process Explorer (PE) can be used to help determine a trouble.
This thread will confidently offer a starting point that people can do/try to make it easier for other people to help them.

This is based on postings from many experts here.
Is the trouble repeatable?
If so then note down the precise steps so other people can repeat it.
Are you using the newest application version?
Do you have all the pertinent patches?
Note down the system information
• application version numbers
• memory
• CPU details
• hard disk size
It can help other people figure out the solution.
Using Process Explorer to help
=================
Does PE show a exacting process by means of a high percentage of the obtainable CPU?
Does PE show a particular process using a lot of the obtainable memory?
Event logs
==========
Do the logs show any applicable messages?
Process Monitor
===============
Try starting Process Monitor as well as receiving it to log the details of the processes
The PM logs might consist of records of unsuccessful disk/registry issues.
Search
======
The problem may have been discussed in the forum before so try searching it
