Today's web browsers allow you to install toolbars at the top of the screen. While useful, having too many can obscure the screen and make it hard to surf the web. To remove unwanted toolbars, go to the Start menu, open the Control Panel and then select Add or Remove Programs.

In Vista, select Uninstall a progra under Programs in the Control Panel. To hide toolbars, click on the Tools button in Internet Explorer, followed by Toolbars. Remove the tick next to toolbars you wan to hide.
