HP launched the ENVY 13 and ENVY 15 notebook PCs that is “building upon the Voodoo ENVY legacy“. HP Metal intends on the lid and palm rest of the ENVY 15, and on the palm rest of the ENVY 13, finely signals luxury. You may find these new notebooks look a lot like Apple’s Unibody Macbook/Pro. Their bodies are magnesium covered with aluminum.

Interesting thing about these machines is that both are ultra-thin laptops measuring under an inch thick. But of course in order to maintain its thinness it lacks an integrated DVD drive.

The Envy lappies openly contend with MacBook Air / Pro as well as Dell Adamo. The 13-inch Envy 13 is a light weight, ultra-thin laptop measuring only 0.8-inch wide. It features Core 2 Duo low voltage processor (1.8GHz), up to 5GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 graphics, up to 18hrs runtime with extensive battery, VGA webcam, as well as Windows Vista.

On the other hand the Envy 15 is a 15incher power-driven by influential Intel Core i7 processor. It features up to 16GB of DDR3 memory, 15.6" LED backlit display, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4830 graphics (1GB memory), two SSDs, and Windows Vista. Both of them will be accessible in the United States on 18 of October.
