keypad, and the keys use a spring like mechanism that feel comfortable while typing. You can remove all the keys to clean them. The keyboard has several dedicated keys for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, One-touch backup and battery optimization. Four USB 2.0 ports, a VGA port, an Ethernet port, a Modem port, a HDMI port, Fingerprint recogniser, Kensington lock, Mic in, Speaker out and a 3.5mm port are housed on both sides. The Aspire 5536G comes with a 15.6in display with a l366x768 resolution, which ensures you can enjoy nop HD videos. It also sports a built-in Acer CineCrystal webcam that is capable enough to shoot videos in 640x480 resolution with 30 frames per second. Acer Aspire 5536G comes bundled with Windows Vista Home Premium.
On the performance front we were a bit disappointed as it fell short of our expectations. The machine comes loaded with a surfeit of applications, which eat up a lot of memory. We had to uninstall quite real performance.
We did try some of the modem high-requirement games and the performance was decent. Though it scaled 1080p HD movies to nop, movie viewing experience was good. The on-board speakers lack bass on the highs, but in the mids and lows they are decent. Pairing a good speaker system can produce a soothing sound. Battery performance is decent.
With eco mode on we got more than 4 hours while using 4-5 application simultaneously. In high-performance mode it was around 2 hours, which is not that bad.
