The Asus F82Q is a laptop solely meant for business class people who are not too keen on making a style statement. Featuring an all black body the F82Q is a standard 14-inch laptop that is highly prone to finger prints and scratches due to its glossy finish. Thankfully the F82Q has a decent sized keyboard (and it isn't glossy) that won't hinder typing. The touchpad of the Asus F82Q is sluggish and unresponsive. Moreover, your fingers don't slide easily but need to be dragged along the surface of the touch pad. The mouse buttons are decent but that doesn't matter much if the touch pad itself is 'BAD'.
The Asus F82Q is built around the GL40 chipset and is powered by a rather weak processor - the Intel DualCore T4200. Nevertheless it makes up with a rather large 300 GB hard disk, along with 3 GB of DDR2 RAM in dual channel mode. Equipped with a 6-cell battery pack the F82Q will give you a decent backup time of two and a half hours if you plan on using an application such as MS-Office.

The crisp and bright screen allows you to enjoy HD movies at nop. The speakers face downwards so the F82Q will have to be kept on a flat hard surface for you to enjoy its crisp and loud sound. If that doesn't satisfy you, you can connect it to a larger HO compatible monitor via the HDMI slot. That said, connectivity is offered via Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet. There are also two USB ports, one line in and line' out, multi-card reader, webcam and a VGA port. The Asus F82Q has decent build quality and performance but its super glossy body and unresponsive touch pad might keep buyers away from this laptop.
