Stantum reveal its proof-of-concept Slate computer, a multitouch tablet PC based on Dell’s Inspiron Mini 10 netbook. The Slate PC, alleged to be “future of netbook”, acquires a 10.1-inch multitouch LCD panel with Stantum’s PMatrix expertise. The display has 1024×600 resolution, with 500:1 contrast as well as 200cd/m2 vividness. The device easily sustains both finer as well as stylus use.
The Slate PC also gets a more compact casing, evaluated to Mini 10. But, webcam, Bluetooth, WiFi have been unconcerned. It is being enhanced by the newest Microsoft OS Windows 7 with 32 bit for multitouch support. No expressions on pricing as well as availability.
