The Creative Inspire T3100 has striking similarities to the older Creative Inspire pieces, especially the cuboidal, straight-edged subwoofer. The sub is very lightweight, made of regular MDF with a black matte finish. The driver is a 55-inch affair, with a power rating of 17 watts RMS. Then we have the 2 satellites, again, light weight slim little things with a centrally positioned 2-inch driver. The sound has this clarity due to the mids and highs sounding quite accentuated. The high mids do tend to get a little crystalline and edgy sounding. The good thing about this speaker system is that the bass does not overpower the rest of the sound's frequencies, like in other 2.1 systems. The main issue and drawback with this speaker system is that its overall levels are not loud, plus it distorts a bit at maximum volume.
