The .cc domain suffix is the top-level domain (TLD). Though, it is normally used as a substitute to the ".com" suffix for commercial Web sites.

The .cc suffix is suitable because it is short and simple to say. Though, not every Web hosting companies support .cc domains and they are not offered by a lot of domain name registrars. So, it is generally enhanced to use an alternate domain name with a .com, .net, or .org suffix in place of choosing a .cc domain name.
