HCL has been marketing tiny portable PCs for a while, and has entered the netbook competition too. The MiLeap MH06 ME series net book from HCL has a good build quality. It features the standard netbook Configuration that includes an Intel Atom N270 processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, 1 GB of RAM, a 160 GB hard drive, Bluetooth, Wi-fi 802.11 big, a webcam and Windows XP Home Edition as the operating system.
The battery is rated at 4400 mAh and can last a decent six hours of light use and four hours on full load. The slick aesthetics are enough to attract anyone, but a few design flaws are a little disappointing. The tactility and size of the keyboard keys are below average and can cause fatigue even when used for a short period. The tiny [CRTL] and [Shift] keys add to the typing speed woes. The display screen and exterior are very glossy and fingerprints can be easily noticed. On the other hand, the build quality is pretty good-for example, the keyboard keys are of excellent quality and the rugged hinges can take the stress of constant use.

Overall, the HCL MiLeap MH06 has similar performance to every average Intel Atom-based netbook since there's no variation to the configuration on board. But this model also ships with two unique features from HCL-HCL Touch and HCL EC2. The HCL Touch feature allows a user to get round-the-clock online support at the touch of a single button. HCL EC2 is a program which can recover data from a crashed system in less than a minute. It does this by taking snapshots of the hard drive at specified intervals using backup software embedded in the hardware itself. This feature could be very important and can help save important data in the event of a system crash, virus attack, accidental formatting or deletion, and even system instability.
