Bluescreen, also referred to as Blue Screen of Death, is a virus that causes your computer monitor to turn blue and then shut down. Soft Cop is a fake anti-virus program that displays a fake Bluescreen. The purpose of this is to scare you into purchase the fake anti-virus program. To remove the fake Bluescreen, you will need to remove the Soft Cop computer virus that is cause the problem. This can be done by running your anti-virus program or by following some easy steps.

End Processes

1. Press "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" at the same time.

2. Hit on the "Task Manager" and again hit on the "Processes" tab.

3. End the following processes. To end a process, hit on it and then click "End Process."

Delete DLL Files and Directories

4. Hit on the "Start" menu and then hit on "Run." The Run box opens.

5. Type "cmd" into the Run box and hit "OK." The Command Prompt will open.

6. Type the following into the Command Prompt. Press "Enter" after each line.

"rmdir c:\Program Files\SoftCop Software"
"rmdir c:\Program Files\SoftCop Software\SoftCop"

Delete Files

7. Hit on the "Start" menu.

8. Hit on the "Search Programs and Files" box.

9. Search and delete the following files. To delete a file, right-click on it and select "Delete."

Delete Registry Values
10. Hit on the "Start" menu and again hit on "Run." The Run box opens.

11. Type "regedit" into the Run box and click "OK." The Registry Editor opens.

12. Put the following registry values in the left pane of the Registry Editor and delete them. To delete a registry value, right-click on it and select "Delete."
