Thread: Copy/Paste Replace

I try to paste any copied text to a selection the copy appends itself to the selection. Such as if I totally select a word then copy it, and then entirely select a new word and paste, the copied word will append itself to the other word rather than replace it. the copied word not replace the selection when pasted ? I go with Ctrl + C for copy and Ctrl + V for paste? Can give some solution.

It was in MS Word under tools/options. It said allow paste to replace selection. This option in word must have affected all the ms programs since when I checked it everything started pasting .
