When first opening any YouTube or fixed on page video the CPU percentage will jump here from on 53% up to 73%. The CPU here is an AMD dual core 6000+ X2 Socket AM2 model. An older single core model like the P4 you have there would originally be expected to see a high percentage spike as a rule. Once that settles down however the CPU here sees a 27-32% fluxuation as expected since any video will task the CPU for demand time.
Really the 3-3.120GB estimated barrier is seen with the 32bit XP even as Vista and windows 7 will see the high amount of 3.571 GB on normal. You still lose some 400mb of working ram.
The 64bit Windows is the next trend to be to see into as long as you are able to upgrade OS with the recent hardware if not planning on either building a new system beside the way.
The demand for CPU time however is a bit dissimilar there regardless of how much memory is installed. Whether somewhat seen at YouTube or start a video capture with an add on device on your system the initial start will tend to tax the cpu a bit for a matter of seconds where you see the spike in the task manager .
