There are two reasons for this. One is that you might not be using the manufacturer's native (recomm-endedl resolution, and the other is that the screen font configuration needs to be set to a clear type font.
To check your screen resolution ... o Right-click on the desktop, go to "Properties".
o Click on the last tab "Settings". Here you'll notice the screen resolution slide bar. Mostly it may be set to 1024 by 768 or 1280 by 1024. This resolution mayor may not be ideal depending on your monitor brand, so check your documentation. Once you set this to the recommended setting, the text will be readable. Assuming that your resolution is fine, let us now check your font settings.
Click on the "Appearance" tab.
Here you'll see "Effects" button below on the right; click on it.
o Click on "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts".
o Choose "Clear Type" from the drop down menu. Click "OK" when done and then "OK" again.
The text on the screen should now look much clearer than before.
