This is called ghosting or streaking on an LCD monitor, where an image is unable to quickly refresh or be replaced by another image on the screen. The main reason for this is slow pixel response time of the LCD. Please check your manual for the pixel response time, generally indicated by 'ms', e.g. 30ms, 26ms, 12ms. LCOs with lower response times [less than 16ms) are ideal for fastmoving pictures as in games with high graphic requirements and also for watching movies movies.

If your monitor does have a good response time, you may need to get other things checked, such as:

 Cable extensions

 Excessively long cables

 Cheap or improperly made video cables

o Improper chaining of multiple monitors

o Switch boxes, including KVM [Keyboard-Video-Mousel switches

o RF [Radio Frequency) filtering on the video controller card
