This is a basically a power related issue. [Before trying to solve any power-related issue, please make sure that you switch OFF the device before fiddling with it, to prevent any hazardous shocks.)
Make sure the wire from monitor to base unit (PC) is connected firmly. If it is not, power OFF the base unit [PC) and push the connector in properly, screwing the side screws to prevent any movement. Switch the PC ON and check.
If the OSO function is showing up your monitor is working, otherwise
the problem may be with the graphics/ video card. If the power LED light is not coming ON, then ...
o Try to use a different power cord since yours may be faulty.
o Try a different AC adapter [for your monitor type!. if it's available.
o If you've connected the monitor to the power strip, try to connect.
o Try to hook up the power cord to a different power outlet.
