Thread: No sound with digital speakers

Analog or digital output can be set in the mixer controls, depending on the type of soundcard and speakers. The first step is to make sure that the settings are enabled and applied according to the hardware used.

Digital output has to be enabled in case you ha've connected digital speakers to the digital output of the soundcard. After doing this, connect your digital speakers to the digital out of the soundcard and check for sound output. This should fix the problem.
