This issue can occur because Pocket PC 2000 devices do not provide OBject EXchange [OBEX) support. Windows XP has OBEX support but your Pocket PC, being an older device, doesn't have it.

You don't need to buy a newer version of Pocket PC; all you need to do is download and install Peacemaker Pro from the official Web site of Conduits Technologies, the company that provides OBEX support for Pocket PC 2000 devices. Go to http:// ce/peacemaker.
