First select a target object you want to take the time lapse photo shoot of. It could be anything-a busy street, a blooming flower or even a lunar eclipse. Place the camera on the tripod or on a table at a suitable distance from the target you are shooting.

Be extremely careful-you must not move the camera from that position at all. Remember that the camera has to be in that position for a really long period, so you shouldn't be doing a shoot like this on a rainy day.
