Assure if you have a week signal then the phone turns up the power to the radios. Because of that it is assuming much of the battery because it tries to maintain that week signal attached. Green light is where it is utilizing signal and grey light is where it is not. So because there is so low signal at your function it is having much of your battery.

I have Samsung galaxy note 1717 my battery is well later utilizing 5 hrs 54 min my 66% battery is left. Then I had the screen on my auto brightness and gone to 20%. These look to be a moderate utilize. In these interval I have 15 emails so far more about 10-15 texts.
