To automatically add a watermark to all the photos you upload to Picasa, go to Tools > Options and then select the 'Web albums' tab. Check the 'Add a watermark for all photo uploads' c;heckbox and edit the text in the field. The photos uploaded to Picasa will have the watermark, but the photos on your disk will be untouched.
