Default Can I boot the computer from a pendrive?

Hi wanted to know if your computer can boot from a pendrive or usb external hard drive, the problem is that I want to install the windows 7 beta, but I do not want to uninstall my current operating system, just to see how it is, the problem is not me recognize the usb hard drive as a system partition and it wont install, do you know if you can do, you would boot from a pendrive I have 16 gigs or from an external usb disk ...

    Thanks

As long as the system allows booting from a USB drive connected to, yes you can install an OS on an external disk.

Eye, one thing is to have recognized as an external disk drive is different and u have a USB drive itself.

It's easy to check, the external disk inserted, put a CD in Windows XP or 7 and see whether choosing a partition, your drive appears listing.

________________________________________ If you want to test an operating system without touching yours, for that you do not need to Follonica with both armes usb, etc, there is a much more simple, it is with Virtual Box, Virtual PC, Wmware, etc..

These are programs that install on your PC within the program and install the operating system as it is as if you installed on your PC, making the program as if you created a virtual pc so to speak.

I use it to prove things to me low, the virtual test and if I get no problems then I installed the real problems and if I get something and I was infected, it infects the virtual operating system, remove the bone program and my pc is always intact.

I leave you a link that will help you:

Virtual box is in Spanish, is virtual pc microsoft virtual box but it's best and best of all is Wmware is in English and payment, but you can try free for 30 days and that this in English is also without much trouble for use it, is that I use.

Virtual PC and Virtual box is free.
