Kingmax has announced , what a press release claims is, the world's "highest capacity Waterproof SD card" with 16GB storage. Based on Kingmax's patented PIP technology, the new SD card is waterproof, dustproof and can withstand "extreme weather conditions."

The Kingmax Waterproof SD card also has built-in ECC (Error Correcting Code) to detect and correct transfer errors and supports CPRM (Contents Protection for Recordable Media) mechanism. The Waterproof SD card is available in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities and carries a global lifetime warranty. It has an operating temperature between 25 degrees and 85 degrees Celsius and is certified waterproof.
