Flashing the BIOS on your Lenovo R31 refers to the path of overwriting the existing in sequence on the motherboard's BIOS chip to return it with an updated version. This is possible through the use of the Lenovo BIOS update utility existing from their support page. The complete process can generally be done in around 10 to 20 minutes.

Instructions

Step1

Download the BIOS update efficacy (see Resources).

Step2

Click "Save" and hoard the file to the source of your "C" drive.

Step3

Click "Start" and decide on "Run."

Step4

Type "c:\1fud51us.exe" into the text box and press "Enter." pursue the onscreen commands to update the BIOS. The computer will routinely shut down when the update completes.

Step5

Start the PC. Press "F1" when motivated for the BIOS Setup Utility message. Check that the BIOS version and the current are displayed.
