Default Difference of transfer rate between USB vs SATA II

    Hi all,
A characteristic rate is 780Mbs for a USB it's 480Mbs. I am not completely swayed about this appears the real world work. So I just need to understand have I counted the speed of the data in both the drives in correct manner. Help!!!

I think a real world test would explain it in a nice way, since we were talking about outer hard drive and I was awaiting for an envelope that will install a SATA II 3.5 drive and had both USB 2 and SATA II connectivity with the computer . First I thought but as I saw various scenarios from various sources I feel it will make a biased result.
