Mitsubishi recently demonstrated a touch-controlled tabletop PC system that is very useful for gaming as well for many other functions. It will take some more time to get ready for mass production.

A latest technology demonstrated by Mitsubishi Electric lately promises to make both the role playing game and the war game more exciting and realistic than ever. It can also make normal board games like Monopoly and Scrabble much more enjoyable, or at least simpler to set up and clean up after finishing the game. It also has other attractive real world applications.

But sadly, at present it is out of the reach of the average gamer’s budget. A single table costs about $10,000. And is only available on special order from the company and as of March, Mitsubishi had only made about 100 of them.
