Thread: Xbox Live ICMP failed

There is issue arise about the connection of Xbox live with Linksys WRT54GL router. There are special ports for Xbox live open (UDP 88, UDP 3074, and TCP 3074). And all is connected properly but it shows "ICMP fails" error in connection checking with Xbox live on Xbox 360 dashboard. So please help me to solve this error. Thanks in advance.

ICMP is protocol that utilized for checking connectivity and complexities and errors fount at firewall router, error is happened as this protocol generally been disallowed on firewall/router which needs to allow. Check configuration of network implementation and settings of protocols and set it in way to permit you get access on router.

Just make physical configuration on network devices to solve this problem. Any router or modem you are using for network connection, unplug it and shut down all devices and plug it again in correct way of connection and start router and modem.
