SYMPTOMS
Your Xbox 360 device stops working or “freezes” when you play a disc. When this issue comes, you do not get an error message and the power button does not blaze red on your device.
Solution 1: check and clean your disc
If you are trying to play CD-ROM, take a look at closely

Clean your disc
1. Hold the disc by the borders without touching the top or bottom surfaces.
2. Using a soft, clean cloth, softly clean from the center of the disc outward.
3. Once the disc is clean, insert the disc into your Xbox 360 device and see if your screen freezes again.
If your console still freezes, try the next solution.
Solution 2: Try another disc
Try a new disc to find out whether the problem occurs with any disc or only with a specific disc.
1. Find a new disc of the same type: game disc, DVD, or CD. For example, if your screen freeze issue occurs with a game disc, find a new game disc.
2. Insert the new disc into your Xbox 360 device..
3. Play the disc to see if your console freezes again.
If your device does not freeze with a new disc of the same type, the particular disc you are using might be the source of the problem. Contact the disc seller for a replacement disc .
Solution 3: Try another game
Try playing a different game on your Xbox 360 device to check where is the problem in the disk or console.
1. Find a new game on your hard drive or on disc.
2. Play the game and check if your device freezes.
If your device does not freeze when you play a different game, the particular game you are playing or the game disc possibly the source of the problem.
