Thread: Call of duty 4 not installed

I am not able to install Call of Duty 4 on my laptop. I had purchased the Call of Duty 4 game CDs from shop. I had copied the game on my laptop. I had copied both the CD to a folder in my E drive. But when I try to install it appears a message as 'Please insert Disk 2 into hardware'. I had copied all the content from both the CDs. So what is the problem? Please give me some proper solution for that. Thanks in advance.

I think you have not copied it correctly on your laptop. Delete the existing folder entirely from your laptop. Install the game once again properly. Try to install any other game and check whether the same error is showed again or not. This is some type of problem with the Disk drive. Because Call of Duty 4 not needs a CD to play but requires online activation through Steam.

There are several games which can be played by splitting the Original CDs into ISO files with .iso extention. Once you have splited the CDs to .iso files you require an emulator to play the games. This emulator will work as disc drive with the help of the .iso file. Thus you can play the game not inserting any CD.
