To work with files and folders in your computer, you must learn the use of the Windows Explorer program of Windows XP. With the help of Windows Explorer program, let us now understand the arrangement of files and folders in a computer. We will also use this program to copy, paste, rename and search files and folders. But first, it is necessary to open the Windows Explorer program. You can do so through the following steps:
1. Make sure that the Desktop of Windows XP is displayed before you. Move the mouse-pointer over the My Computer icon.
2. Pressthe right mouse-button once. A shortcut menu appears.
3. Now move the mouse-pointer over the E~plore option of the shortcut menu and press the left mouse-button. This opens up the Explorer window of My Computer on your screen.
