Suppose, you wish to delete the contents of a sub¬folder and store new files into it. In such a case, the name of that sub-folder also needs to be changed so as to enable you easily identify its changed contents by its new name. Just as you renamed a file, you can also rename a sub-foldes.
Let us now try to change the name of the Temp I sub-folder (present inside the temp folder). Suppose you wish to give it a new name-Accounts. To accomplish the renaming task, undertake the following steps:
2. Start with the Explorer window of the Local Disk as shown in. This window displays the Local Disk contents in the Contents box.
3. In the Local Disk Contents box, locatethe temp folder.
4. Now, move the mouse-pointer over the temp folder and double-click the left mouse-button. The Local Disk window changes into the temp folder window. The temp folder contents, i.e. the Sachin file and the Templ sub- folder, get displayed inside its contents box.
5. In the Contents box of temp folder window, move the mouse-pointer to the Temp 1 sub-folder, and cllCkthe right mouse-button once. A shortcut menu appears.
6. Inside the shortcut menu, move the mouse-pointer over the Rename option and click the left mouse¬button. The Tempi sub-folder gets highlighted instantly.
7. Now type the new name Accounts from the keyboard and click the left mouse-button anywhere inside the Contents box.
