Many a time, you may need to free up space on your computer. To get more space, you need to remove unwanted files and folders. Let us now learn how to delete the unnecessary files from the hard disk of your computer. Let us remove the Sachin file present inside the TempI sub-folder. To do so, undertake the following steps:
1. As you know, the Temp1 sub-folder is present in the temp folder of the Local Disk . we start with the Explorer window of the Local Disk. The Contents box of this window displays the contents of the Local Disk as sbown in.
2. Now look for the temp folder in the contents box and move the mouse-pointer over it.
3 .Then double-clickthe left mouse-button. Immediately, the temp folder's contents get displayed in its Contents box.
4. Now movethe mouse-pointer over the Temp1 sub-folder in the Contents box, and double-click the left mouse¬button.
5. Immediately, the contents of the Temp1 sub-folder, i.e., the Sachin file, is displayed inside the Contents box.
6. Now, move the mouse-pointer over the Sachin file and click the left mouse-button just once to highlight it.
7. Now lcick the left mouse-button on the file option of the menu bar .instantly ,a pull down menu appears.
8. Inside the Ble pull-down menu, move the mouse-pointer over the Delete option and click the left mouse-button. Immediately, a Confirm File Delete dialog box.
9. Finally, click on the Yes button in the Confirm File Delete box. The Sachin Jile now disappears from the Temp 1 Contents box which means it has been successfully removed to the Recycle Bin. Similarly, you can delete any folder and send it in the recycle bin. However, for deleting a folder, you may not need to follow steps 1 to 9 listed above. You can simply select a folder by clicking over it and then press the delete key from the keyboard. A message box similar to appears on the screen. Click over the yes button to proceed ahead and delete the folder.
