Google Chrome 2.0 beta Google Chrome had releaed a vl.O thereby declaring the minimalist Web browser to be out of testing, However, it has burst onto the scene once again with a new version - this is a developer beta, so it is not yet the default installer that a new user will download, It has got an update to the page rendering engine (Web Kit, also used by Apple's Safari browser), The new build of WebKit supports more CSS features now, The JavaScript engine (VB) has been updated as well. Among the most visible features are full-page zoom and auto-scroll. Full-page zoom scales all elements correctly on the webpage, so text and graphical images remain in balance, Auto-scroll lets you scroll by using the middle-click button (or the scroll wheel) of the mouse, Also seen is form autocomplete which can remember what you've typed into webpage fields, and spell-checking improvements to let you enable or disable it in a text field or change the spell-check language,

Importing bookmarks from Google Bookmarks is possible now, Don't expect to sync the bookmarks though, since it is just a one-time process, It is possible to use different browser profiles (bookmarks, cookies, etc,) and make a desktop shortcut with its name to directly access it SafeBrowsing has been improved, and support is pres¬ent for docking tabs that you drag in specified directions, Some advanced experimental features are currently not accessible directly from within its interface, and the only way to access them is through adding command line switches to the program's shortcut For example --enable-user-scripts will enable user script support, similar to GreaseMon- key scripts used with the Firefox browser, Also, the switch --force-https will open Chrome in a locked down mode where it will only allow browsing of secure websites that use the HTTPS protocol.
