Registering is the first step at LasUm. Registration is a hassle free process and all you need to enter are your desired username, e-mail address and password. It also asks you to enter two words which are displayed as images. This is just a security measure known as 'captcha'. While choosing your username, you can check if the name is available by clicking the "Check availability" button.

After agreeing to the terms and conditions, click the "Sign up and create my profile" button. You are immediately taken to your home page. It is here where you actually start building your profile. By entering names of your favourite artists in the text area on this page and clicking "Save", Last.fm will compile a list of related artists from which you can choose and add to your profile library as t'avoutire artists. You can add more artists to your library by clicking the "recommended" tab on the right of your screen. You can furfher customize your profile by clicking the "Settings" tab.
