Push email is a serviced provided by smartphones and POAs, which deliver emails to the device in real-time. The push email works on a simple technique which "pushes" emails to the client as soon as it arrives, rather than making the client to wait and collect or pull mail manually. It is particularly of great help for people who receive and work with very critical information like stockbrokers or on-field media reporters who cannot afford time delays. Smartphones usually announce new mails with an alert; without any additional user intervening. BlackBerry was the first smartphone/POA to offer this technology to its users. Now most of the smartphones are equipped to push mails to the inbox.
