In case you don't have any experience with encryption, you can first simulate creating a key and encrypting it with the help of the wizard in the GPA module.
1. From the Windows "'Start' menu, select "'All Programs I GnuPG for Windows I GPA"'.
2.Next select "'Keys I New Key"'.
3.When prompted, enter your name or the name of the recipient [for whom you are making the key). Click "'Forward"'.
4. When prompted, enter your e-mail address or the address of the recipient [for whom you are making the key). Click "'Forward"'.
5. In this step, you must enter a secret passphrase. and it must be done carefully. The passphrase must be secure; it should not be obvious or text that can be guessed easily. It should be at least eight characters long and should contain some non-alphabetic characters [including spacesl. Never use your name or terms that can be found in a dictionary. Such passwords can be cracked very easily. To
confirm the password, type it again in the next box.
Type a few words or a sentence that you can remember. Try a nursery rhyme phrase like "The cow jumped over the moon". Ensure that you write it in the same way in the confirmation box. Also remember the casing of letters [upper or lower casel.
You are required to enter a passphrase, and then confirm it by entering the same phrase again. Click "Forward".
6, It is best to create a backup copy of the key and preferably store it in another location outside your computer. For instance, you could back it up onto a USB thumb drive.
Choose the option "Create a backup copy" and then click on the "Apply" button.
7. Within the GPA interface, you will now see the key that was generated. If you don't see it, click on the "Refresh" button.
