Internet Sxplorer and Firefox can remember passwords that are needed to access particular web pages. If this stops working, it can be a real pain. If Internet Explorer stops remembering passwords, click on Tools, followed by Internet Options, and move to the Content tab.

Click on the Settings button in the Autocomplete section and make sure the option labelled 'User names and passwords on forms' is ticked. In Firefox, click on Tools, followed by Options, and then move to the Security section. Tick the box labelled 'Remember passwords for sites' and click on OK.
