ThinkFree Online is a web-based office application created by Haansoft ThinkFree Co. Ltd. Since this application suite is based on the MS-Office 2003 Application Suite, users who are familiar and comfortable with the original version can benefit the most. Since the application has been created using a combination of Java-applets and AJAX technologies, it requires a java-compliant browser. You need the Java Runtime Environment to edit your document in the "Power Edit" mode, which emulated MS-Word. However, you can still use the online application by working in the Ajax-based "Quick Edit" mode which does not require applets.



The application suite has a word¬processing software [ThinkFree Write!; a spreadsheet application [ThinkFree Calc) and a slide based presentation software [ThinkFree Showl. These software applications can not only be used online, but are also available as a desktop application, at much, much lower prices. Moreover, you can also have the ThinkFree suite on your iPod, by using the portable versions.
