After generating your reports you may notice that the field names or the data isn't aligned properly. A few data values may even overwrite other data, while some of it is hidden. We can also edit our reports using the same method that we used to alter our tables in the Design View. But the design view of a report is a more graphical and interactive compared to that of a table.

Click on "View I Design View". The report design page appears containing all your controls as they are placed in your final report. You can edit the positions of these controls by clicking on them and dragging them to the desired location. You can even resize the boxes and realign them to your satisfaction. You will notice that there are five sections in the report design page.

The first two are the Report Header and Page Header. You can place any information at the top of each page. The Detail section contains all the entries from the table. The Page Footer and the Report Footer pages contain the page and report footers at the end of each page of the report. Once you have completed the page design, click on "File I Save". It is best to avoid adjusting reports unless absolutely necessary.
