Thread: IE stop working?

On IE i have lots of folders in favourites however, when i right clicked on the folders a window pops up "IE has stopped working" and closes. Right now I am using IE8 on vista home premium, this has happened only in the past 2- 4 days or so. I can remove the folders through the hard drives but i want to know what exactly happened.

Please provide some guidenace, as im not a computer geek.

Does the problem occur when you try and launch IE8 directly from the links you have in your Favorites folder? Can you launch IE8 normally and surf the web with it?
If IE8 will not run in any way, try resetting IE8, to do this:
1. Click on the Start button
2. Click on Control Panel
3. Click on "Internet Options"
4. Click on "Advanced"
5. Click on Reset
If that fails to resolve your problem, uninstall it and after that re-install it
