Internet is full of sites that are not safe for children. To block a website that you think is not appropriate for kids block access to those sites using Windows HOSTS.
· Open "My Computer". Go to HDD, then open Windows or System32 or drivers or something similar. Click through prompts about modifying contents of folders to see the files saved in them.
· Open "HOSTS". Windows will prompt which application to open the file with. Select "Notepad."
· See that you have opened the right file. A line starting with "This is a sample HOSTS file" will be there. Use arrow keys to move to first blank line at end of file.
· Include a line at end of file with IP address 0’s and space, and name of the website to block.
· Save and exit HOSTS file. Reboot PC to take effect. After rebooting, websites included in HOSTS file blocked.
