Thread: Deleting W32.Mytob.gen from PC

My antivirus is giving me an aware message that “W32.Mytob.gen” is identified. I tried to delete this but it comes again. Please mention precautionary actions to prevent this problem.
Any suggetion would be highly appriciated.

“W32.Mytob.gen” is a type of internet worm. Worms are self replicating spiteful code which uses memory and processing speed. Generally they utilize network connections to spread itself from one PC to another or from one node to another. Worm does not damage files like viruses but it harms network by overwhelming bandwidth.

If your antivirus is detecting this worm on PC it should be enable to delete it. If antivirus is not deleting this worm then try to delete it in safe mode.
