Thread: Connecting with yahoo account on windows live messenger

I would like to access yahoo contacts on windows live messenger. If it is possible then how to connect with yahoo account on windows live messenger.

I do not think it is possible, one thing you canister do is go to Yahoo Messenger. See Windows Live links from Yahoo. But problem is that friends, if they utilize Windows Live Messenger, unable to reply. This is "compatible" Looks like yahoo messenger is better.

There is no easy process to import contact list of messenger to other and take benefit of interoperability to include contacts individually.

Here is resolution bit difficult but it looks to work:

• Export contact list from MSN Live Messenger. You acquire an XML file with an extension "CTT"

• Edit and change file into CTT file "Yahoo!" CSV "

• Import new file "Yahoo!" CSV "in " Yahoo! Address Book "from website" Yahoo Mail "

• Start Yahoo! Messenger. You see that all new contacts there in address book

• Lastly, we should move contacts from address book in messenger list. (Contacts, Import Contacts and select "From Address Book")
