Thread: Mozilla Firefox stops working when Web cam is utilized

I have desktop PC which is running on XP and has Internet connection to it. I utilize Mozilla Firefox as default browser. Just When I attempt to Web cam for video chatting, Mozilla Firefox collapses. This occurs every time web cam is started. If anybody knows about it then please help me in solving problem.

Installation of Mozilla Firefox is damaged and is cause for all problems. Files of browser get damage because of many reasons. The only solution is to uninstall existing installation and delete all files and keys related to browser. After all files are removed, reinstall browser and then see if browser crashes when webcam is utilized.

Check if Drivers for Webcam are installed appropriately. If drivers of device related to it are not installed appropriately then device will not work correctly and generate problems when being utilized. So before doing any troubleshooting check if Drivers of Webcam are installed correctly. For checking drivers, go to device manager and check for imaging devices. Now click and choose Webcam and right click and choose properties. Check status of device and driver. If status of device and drivers are not appropriate then uninstall and install device and drivers again. This will solve your problem.
