Thread: Connectivity Issue with DSL Router

I purchased new wireless router and problem is when phone is ringing I get detached from internet service. I able to choose and talk and make outgoing calls no problem. But when phone starts ringing internet does not work. Any help would be appreciated.

A line fault would surely cause this condition. I suggest you unplug all apart from broadband connection, and then ring phone. If connection drops, it is line fault. You should obtain ISP to increase fault with BT. Then you must look into fault click here BT will close fault if nothing is found when it goes to Diagnostics Centre. If this occurs, increase other fault with BT.

Try with detaching second phone? Back when I dial up phones would always ring when I attached the net in spite of having 2 sockets/phones. Apparently it had something to do with lengths of cable utilized. Get line checked, it is automatic and they ring back with results. May be fault in BT line somewhere.
