Thread: Difference between PDA and Pocket PC

I am so confused to buy a pocket PC. When I was searching for an excellent pocket PC,I got a new thing called "PDA", It is new for me but I want to know about the PDA. What is the Existence of this device and how it is differ from Pocket PC.As I searched on different sites regarding prices and distributions. Please tell me which two is best to buy?

The Pocket PC is also called as Windows Mobile Classic device provided by Microsoft Corporation which can run upon the "Windows Mobile" OS. The other OS like NetBSD, Linux, Android can be supported on this device.

It allows users to keep and receive e-mail, contacts, listening music, playing games, chatting with text messages using Windows Live messenger.

The features are added within this device would be as follows:

• Executing Windows Mobile, Pocket PC edition OS.
• Touchscreen facility is available.
• Directional pad or touch pad is Included.

The PDA are able to give the car Kit feature and can be suitable with Global Positioning System (GPS) means overall we can use the GPS system with the PDAs.

To know the traffic conditions, dynamic routing & roadside mobile radar guns & so lots of things can be performed using PDAs. The famous software’s are used in Europe & in the United States to view the road conditions in 2D & 3D environment.
