Now I have server with 1 nic that attaches to router which attaches to DSL to set up internet access for small workgroup. Is it possible to bypass modem connection to router and attach it to server and permit all logged in users to access internet and email, if server has 4 netcard interface cards included?

You can but it is not good to have Modem attached straight to server. It provides any possible hackers direct access to server without advantages of NAT to keep them out.

Clients must attach through router and giving server is organized properly, still be able to access Internet and Email and connect to server without direct connection.

Thanks for reply. I think OS has not integrated sufficient port blocking aspects to remove Hardware Router.
