Thread: Email key file to open program not working

I have been sent email with key file to let go program it is unreadable as it is in pad and is all font. Please help me to solve this problem.

A key to make active program is string of letters and numbers that enter during install of a program. If purchased program that was downloadable, and then may have emailed activation key, but it will arrive in body of email text, or expiable link to web page.

The program is avira premium security suite. I downloaded a promo version to try it out. The key came as an attachment to an email which I couldn’t read so I tried notepad now it is just characters and any further attends to download the key come in notepad
